A Device on the Wrist, Not a HUD Element
Agency-Watch is not a clock that sits on the screen all the time. It is a smartwatch the player opens when they want it, with the Z key or the /watch command, and it runs its own apps, watch faces and settings. AgencyOS27, version 27.0.0 of the watch, added a Studio for its looks, AgencyAI on the crown, four games, faces for the small always-on display and an App Store in which every app has its own page.
Agency-Watch is free. Everything in the first part of this article runs on its own, without any other resource, on QBCore, Qbox, ESX or a server without a framework. The last part explains what changes when Agency-Phone runs on the same server.
Watch Faces and the Always-On Display
The watch ships with ten watch faces, four of them new in AgencyOS27: Arc, Modular, Stack and Wave. The small always-on display in the corner of the screen, switched on and off with /watchmini, has four faces of its own that players pick separately from the big one: Full, Time, Vitals and Ring.
Studio: Build the Watch You Want
Studio is where players design their watch. There are three case shapes, eleven straps from Link Bracelet to Alpine Loop, and a free choice of case, strap and accent colour. Presets give a finished look in one tap, a shuffle button is there for anyone who wants to be surprised, and every choice is saved per player.
Nothing in Studio costs anything, and nothing in it needs the phone.
What Runs Without Any Other Resource
- Activity: activity rings with a daily step goal, and a pulse that reacts. Getting hit by a car, falling or getting back up moves the heart rate, which then settles again over about a minute.
- Time: stopwatch, timer and alarm.
- On the road: weather from real cities, a compass and a speedometer.
- Garage: list, locate and call vehicles. It is the only app that uses oxmysql, and oxmysql stays optional.
- Games: Ascent, Tower, Reflex and Dodge, each with a personal best, all of them offline.
- Control centre: opened with the side button below the crown.
- Flashlight: on the orange action button by default, as a real cone of light with range and a soft near light that follows the player's view. The button runs whatever the config names in Config.ActionButton.
- App Store: players install, reorder and delete apps themselves, and every app has a page that says who provides it, what it needs and what it does.
The Crown: Quick Menu and AgencyAI
A click on the crown opens a quick menu with the apps the player was most likely reaching for. A swipe down shows the full list, and turning the mouse wheel over the crown pages through it.
Pressing and holding the crown starts AgencyAI. Players ask in plain words, in any of the ten languages, and the watch does it: turn on the light, change the brightness, set an alarm or open an app. It works without any connection to the outside, so no request leaves your server.
Fall Detection and Emergency Calls
After a crash or a long fall, the watch comes out by itself and offers an emergency call. This works with or without a phone on the server.
Agency-Zero From the Wrist
If Agency-Zero runs on the server, the watch controls it from anywhere: call the car over, send it away, park it, open the doors, switch the lights, and check battery and range. Without Agency-Zero, the app shows what the car is, and it never quotes a price that does not apply.
More With Agency-Phone
When a genuine Agency-Phone runs on the server, the watch unlocks calls, messages, mail, contacts and Agency Pay on the wrist, and it opens itself for apps of your own. These Pro features are checked on the server through an HMAC handshake with the phone, so a copied resource cannot fake them. Start agency-phone before Agency-Watch in your server.cfg so the watch finds it.
A custom app is one folder with three files. The folder stays readable and editable and survives every update. The full guide is on the custom apps page of the documentation.
The Agency Companion App
The watch pairs with the free Agency Companion app for iOS and Android. From their real phone, players open and close the watch, change the passcode lock and the unlock with phone setting, and choose which apps sit on the watch. "Find watch" makes the watch open by itself and ring, even with sounds muted, until the player presses Stop in game or closes it. The maximum duration is set in the config and is 60 seconds by default.
The app talks to your server through the encrypted Agency relay at api.agencyg.de, so the game server is never exposed. Every player gets a pairing code bound to their character; requesting a new one invalidates the old code, and codes expire.
Installation in Short
- Put Agency-Watch in your resources folder and add
ensure Agency-Watchto server.cfg, after agency-phone if you run it. - Set language, key, watch item and apps in config.lua. The file is in English and commented line by line.
- No database table and no item setup are needed to start, and the framework is detected automatically.
- Ten languages ship with the resource, English by default, and not a single font or icon is loaded from the internet.
Coming from an older version: the AgencyOS27 config has new blocks for Studio, Zero and the small display. Back up your values, use the new config.lua and set them again. The Companion pairing and every player setting survive the update, and players see the update screen once.
